“Kilip and the Moon Princess” is a children’s book illustration project inspired by traditional Indonesian folklore. The project has won “Best Illustration” title by the Imajinesia Award and been published since. It was made to life through several stages in the process: research, storyline, world building, character design, and iteration. The colour palette applies turquoise hues throughout the book to emphasise the feel of the night sky and forest greenery in which the story takes place.
